Prosiect Torgoch's Water Quality Initiative at Llyn Cwellyn
As part of Prosiect Torgoch we will be delivering a comprehensive water quality monitoring programme at Llyn Cwellyn. The lake is located near Rhyd Ddu below the summit of Eryri and contains one of only three natural populations of torgoch (Arctic charr) in Wales.
Rhosneigr Community Engages with Floating Wetlands Project!
Today, we hosted a drop-in session for the Rhosneigr community and local businesses to delve into the details of our Floating Wetlands pilot project. It was great to see that members of the community were eager to learn about the project's objectives and sign up to participate in the monitoring of the project.
Beaumaris beach clean success
Over the weekend we joined forces with members of the Bangor University Students Union, for a beach clean-up in Beaumaris. This collaborative effort was great fun and made a real impact on the beach.
40 Freshwater Conservation Volunteers
Tonight we have been inspiring students at Bangor University to get involved in our upcoming freshwater projects. Over forty amazing volunteers have signed up to our 2024 programme!
Launch of 'Prosiect Torgoch' :Preserving Rare Arctic Charr
On Tuesday, February 6th we held an open evening for our exciting new project; Prosiect Torgoch. The event, attended by members of the community, stakeholders, and environmental enthusiasts, provided an opportunity to learn about the conservation of the Torgoch.

The Bullhead makes a comeback
With North Wales rivers grappling with declining water quality and freshwater species in freefall, the North Wales Rivers Trust reports the presence of the protected Bullhead fish in the Afon Bach and the critically endangered European Eel.
