Beaumaris beach clean success

Over the weekend we joined forces with members of the Bangor University Students Union, for a beach clean-up in Beaumaris. This collaborative effort was great fun and made a real impact on the beach.

Together, we tackled the litter left behind by winter storms. We filled 10 bags with rubbish and found all sorts from plastic bottles to fishing nets!

As a token of appreciation for their hard work, volunteers were treated to chips from a local fish and chip shop—a well-deserved reward!

These volunteer days serve as a fantastic opportunity for us and the Bangor University volunteer community to unite, forge new connections, and have a positive impact. These events help clean up our beaches and also foster a sense of community and environmental stewardship.

If you’re a student looking to get involved with the next volunteer day email poppy@northwalesriverstrust.org or Oisin@northwalesriverstrust.org
