Zooplankton Counting Session for the Floating Wetland Project
Join us for an engaging evening as part of the Floating Wetland Project, aimed at improving water quality and biodiversity in Llyn Maelog. This hands-on session will introduce you to the role of zooplankton in freshwater ecosystems. You’ll help count and identify various zooplankton species using microscopes and contribute valuable data to assess the impact of the floating wetland.

Torgoch Art Installation at Llyn Padarn
In collaboration with artist Sean Harris the North Wales Rivers Trust are showcasing a unique art installation at a secret location near Llyn Padarn. This artwork, inspired by the iconic Eryri Torgoch, will demonstrate the need to improve habitat to help protect emblematic species like the Torgoch in a captivating and memorable way.

Wetland Monitoring via Paddle Board
As part of our Floating Wetland project we are running a wetland monitoring session via paddle board. In an instructed session with Gecko Surf Shop we will paddle out to the wetland and monitor, growth, invertebrates and zooplankton.

Llyn Maelog Community Monitoring Group Practical Training
Join the Llyn Maelog Community Monitoring Group on Saturday 17th August for a practical training session. Put the theory into action and learn how to test the water quality at Llyn Maelog. We will also conduct an insect survey and look at bugs as a water quality indicator.
Afon Eden Family Wildlife Day
