Join us for a practical volunteer day near Rhyd Ddu, helping to protect one of Eryri’s most vulnerable species the Arctic charr (Torgoch).
We’ll be hand-digging small settlement pools designed to trap sediment and run-off before it reaches the Afon Gwyrfai. This simple but effective intervention helps to improve water quality and protect the sensitive habitats downstream in Llyn Cwellyn.
The work will involve light manual digging using spades, and no previous experience is needed — just enthusiasm and a willingness to get stuck in! The work will be physical and requires a 15 minute walk over uneven terrain to get to the site.
