Caru’r Cegin

Supporting communities in the Cegin catchment to restore, reimagine and reconnect with their river — for nature, for people, for the future.

NATURE CANNOT SURVIVE IN FRAGMENTS

We’re a growing network of farmers, land managers, councils, researchers, wildlife charities, schools, gardeners and community groups.

Together we are creating and actioning a full catchment blueprint that aims to recover nature from Source to Sea benefiting water, wildlife and communities.

OUR PLAN

In year one of the project, big steps were taken towards bringing people together and laying strong foundations for the project grounded in scientific research and community feedback.

OUR approach

OUR KEY themes:

  • Nature-Based Solutions to Water Quality Issues

  • Community Flood Resilience

  • Circular Economy Approaches

CREATING CORRIDORS

The project members have ambitious plans to create wildlife corridors from the uplands all the way to the sea at Porth Penrhyn. To do this we need YOUR help.

Can you pledge to connect your land/garden and help bridge the gaps?
