Dr. Antony Smith takes the helm of Prosiect Torgoch

We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone for the Torgoch project as we eagerly welcome Dr. Antony Smith back on board as the Project Lead. His appointment marks a pivotal moment in our journey, as the newly appointed Principal Fisheries Officer.

Dr. Smith brings a wealth of expertise and passion to the North Wales Rivers Trust, and we are confident that his leadership will propel the Torgoch project to new heights. His background in fisheries and scientific research into the Eryri Torgoch makes him the perfect fit for steering this initiative toward success.

The Torgoch project holds immense promise for the conservation and enhancement of our aquatic ecosystems here in North Wales. Prosiect Torgoch is a project funded by the Heritage National Lottery to raise awareness and preservation of the native Torgoch populations.

Join us in welcoming Dr. Antony Smith as he takes charge of this significant undertaking. Together, we look forward to achieving remarkable milestones and fostering a sustainable future for our rivers and fisheries.

The Torgoch project is set to engage with new audiences, allow us to better understand the current populations and continue to deliver river restoration to support this iconic species.
