Creating a storybook with ysgol waunfawr
We recently had the exciting opportunity to run a story-making workshop with Year 1 & 2 pupils at Ysgol Waunfawr for Prosiect Torgoch. The children were full of creativity as they worked together to bring the story of the torgoch to life!
Throughout the session, the pupils used their imagination to design characters, come up with names, and develop a narrative about the life cycle of the torgoch. They learned about the challenges the fish faces, from finding a suitable place to lay its eggs to overcoming threats to its habitat like pollution and climate change.
The collaborative nature of the workshop not only helped the children understand the importance of clean, healthy waterways for the torgoch, but also encouraged teamwork and creativity. We’re excited to see how their ideas will come together as part of our educational storybook!
A huge thank you to the students and staff at Ysgol Waunfawr for their enthusiasm and hard work!
