Cenmaes Community Tree Planting

Yesterday we were joined by members of the Cenmaes community to plant trees. The sun was shining and a rewarding day was had by all!

Attendees were able to learn about the Afon Wygyr Water Quality and Habitat improvement work which has been taking place over the last few years.

Through this project the Afon Wygyr has benefited from many interventions such as having livestock fenced out, alternative water sources provided for cattle, weir notching, woody debris management, tree planting and more.

Community volunteers also tested the Afon Wygyr water quality and learnt about the different indicators and causes of pollution.
