School pupils protest for cleaner waters

Today we were joined by the pupils from Ysgol Dolbadarn to protest for cleaner waters and why people should consider the environment when voting in the upcoming general election. It was great to see the passion from the students and that passion get transferred to locals supporting the school kids on their protest walk through Llanberis.

The walk along Llyn Padarn was really beautiful and acted as a reminder of what a shame it is that pollution enters Padarn so regularly. The creativity in the kids signs and chants really sent a message that the younger generation want change which will hopefully inspire voters.

This protest was especially important with the upcoming general election which much of the future legislative protection and conservation funding will be decided by the winning party. And although the children in the class cannot vote hopefully their voices made others #voteforrivers and make sure the new government make the environment a priority and take responsibility for much of the issues occurring in our rivers.
