New Volunteers Recruited For The Afon Ogwen Lab Dwr Hub

Last month we were really pleased to get a group of local volunteers together to begin testing within the Ogwen catchment as part of our wider Lab Dwr and Menai Strait Partnership Forum projects.

During each visit, volunteers will record general river observations, such as weather conditions, flow and any visible signs of pollution, as well as measure key indicators of water chemistry including phosphate levels, temperature, total dissolved solids and nitrates. These measurements help build a clearer picture of the river’s health and can highlight any changes or potential issues that may need further investigation.

Any serious pollution incidents are reported directly to the Natural Resources Wales hotline: 0300 065 3000

If you are interested in joining the Ogwen Hub volunteers please email emma@northwalesriverstrust.org for more info.
