Volunteers Making a Difference For The Afon Cegin

Big thankyou to all of the volunteers who helped with the big Cegin clean up last week. Together we were able to remove lots of single use pollution from the river making it a healthier and nicer environment for both people and wildlife. These volunteers days are being held as part of our Roots project, which is working to improve the rivers that run into the Menai Strait. Our volunteer days consist of activities like litter picking, water quality testing , invasive species removal and more.

Signs of Spring!

During this afternoon our volunteers were caught in a number of short hail storms. Despite this we were all delighted to see signs of spring and the riverine environment beginning to wake up - reminding us of all of the lovely nature we are lucky to have on our doorstep.

If you would like to get involved in the Roots project and help your local river or simply spend more time with like-minded people making a difference then we would love to hear from you. Email admin@northwalesriverstrust.org to sign up.
