Lab Dwr Expands Into The Conwy Catchment
2026 has got off to a fantastic start for our Lab Dŵr™ project. Lab Dŵr™ is North Wales Rivers Trust’s citizen science water quality monitoring campaign, bringing communities together to better understand the health of their local rivers.
Our River Hubs now span our catchments, with volunteers monitoring rivers in the Clwyd in the east, the Dyfi in the south, on Ynys Môn, and a dedicated group working around Llanberis. We’re also really pleased to be welcoming six new volunteers who will be testing sites across the Conwy catchment.
Data is already starting to come in, and we’re looking forward to working closely with the Conwy volunteers to identify pollution hotspots, build a clearer picture of river health, and help more people feel connected to the health of their local waterways. The formation of this new group has been made possible thanks to the brilliant support of the team at Gofod Glas, and we’re excited to see what the group achieves.
