Explore, Discover, Protect: Wild Guides Have Landed!
We’re thrilled to launch our brand-new Wild Guides campaign – a fun and accessible way to help everyone explore the incredible freshwater and marine habitats of North Wales. Whether you’re dipping a toe in a river, snorkeling off the coast, or simply wandering along a local footpath, our Wild Guides are here to help you connect with nature like never before.
What Are Wild Guides?
Wild Guides are a collection of illustrated sheets created by the North Wales Rivers Trust, designed to offer advice to recreational water users on how they can help people spot and understand the species, habitats, and environmental issues across our waterways.
Why Wild Guides?
Our rivers, lakes, and coastlines are facing increasing pressure from pollution, climate change, and development. But these places are also teeming with life and beauty and they’re right on our doorstep. We believe that when people know more about their local environment, they care more about protecting it.
Wild Guides aim to build that connection, giving everyone the tools to look closer, learn more, and take action. They’re free to download here.
