Afon Cegin project launches with river clean up

Yesterday, we hosted the first community volunteer day for our new project on the Afon Cegin. Our volunteers made a real impact, removing all sorts of rubbish, from single-use plastics to full rolls of carpet from the riverside.

The volunteers were also given images and information on how to spot signs of river pollution.

The Afon Cegin project is just getting underway, which means there will be lots of volunteer opportunities coming up in the near future. So whether you're an eco-warrior or new to volunteering we would love for you to get involved.

Huge thanks to Esmee Fairburn Foundation for funding this project. Stay tuned for more volunteering opportunities around the Afon Cegin.
