NWRT Team & volunteers complete Open Water Life Guard Training

Over the weekend Community team members, Oisin and Poppy completed their Open Water Life Guarding qualification alongside two North Wales Rivers Trust volunteers Sifa and Bleddyn. This is a great step towards the delivery of safe Snorkel Survey sessions as part of Prosiect Torgoch.

The group braved the cold temperature of Llyn Padarn to learn essential skills like rescue techniques, first aid, and CPR. This ensures they can respond effectively in a water-based emergency.

By providing accredited training to our team and volunteers from the North Wales Rivers Trust, we're improving overall safety and empowering them to lead sessions in open water confidently.

Special thanks to Esmee Fairbairn, Heritage Fund UK and LNP Cymru for their support which enables us to offer these valuable opportunities.
