Heipolymnion Returns: Celebrating the Torgoch Through Art and Conservation

Following a successful debut in 2024, Heipolymnion a powerful immersive installation created by artist Sean Harris and the local community.

Developed in collaboration with North Wales Rivers Trust, the work draws attention to the Eryri Torgoch (Arctic charr), a rare freshwater fish found only in a handful of North Wales lakes. Through mesmerising visuals, sound, and storytelling, Heipolymnion explores the fragile balance of life below the surface—and the urgent need to protect the Torgoch’s cold-water habitat in Llyn Padarn.
