Prosiect Torgoch talk presented at RRC annual conference

Last week NWRT Fisheries Officer Antony Smith attended the annual conference of the River Restoration Centre (RRC) to give a talk on Prosiect Torgoch. The conference was hosted this year in the historic seaside town of Llandudno.

Over 400 delegates attended the three day event, representing a range of organisations including ecological consultants, regulatory bodies, universities, and other conservation charities.

Of particular interest to Antony was the Thursday morning 'Scientific Advances in River Restoration'. Edward Fleming from Mott MacDonald gave a great talk on using Lidar data to identify paleo channels of modified rivers.

Antony gave a talk on Proseict Torgoch in the 'Focus on Fish' session, outlining our plans for restoring spawning habitat for Arctic charr at Llyn Padarn.
