Part Time Volunteering Opportunities

The North Wales Rivers Trust is looking to recruit two people to undertake the following key roles:

  • Trust Development and Funding Officer – this role would involve working with Trustees, Officers and the Operational Group to identify future project and funding opportunities to enable the Trust to meet its main objective of improving river catchments and their wildlife. The work would include networking with other 3rd Sector organisations, statutory bodies and businesses, preparing funding bids and identifying opportunities for partnership working.
  • Trust Education and training Officer – this role involves developing and delivering the Trusts education programme with schools and community groups and developing and training a volunteer workforce to monitor and improve river catchments.

Both roles would suit either a recent graduate as a means of building their experience of environmental work or a retired professional with an interest in rivers and their wildlife. The Trust has strong links with angling organisations, fishery owners and landowners and a good track record in delivering environmental improvements on rivers.
