Ian Roberts – Trustee

My passion for fishing began with my Dad fishing on the River Clywedog a tributary of the River Clwyd. Catching minnows and giant eels with stories from my Dad about salmon and sea trout he had caught.

I caught my first salmon on the River Clwyd as my father had and my Taid before me. I was delighted that my son also caught his first salmon on the River Clwyd. Three generations of the Roberts family still enjoy fishing together.

I have for the last 15 years been a head teacher of a primary school in North Wales. I am treasurer of the Vale of Clwyd Angling Club.
